Holes in the Wall Collective is working hard to put on programming even as we are inbetween spaces.
In the meantime, send us your hi-fives, help hold back the bureaucratic monkey wrenches and donate your couch change and we'll be on our way.
Holes in the Wall Collective's Winter Break.
We never stop working. But since everyone else does, we’re gonna take a break too.
NOT FOR SALE Holiday party.
Holes in the Wall Collective & DecadesOut present…\
A Not For Sale Holiday Party December 19th in Brooklyn.
Where you come to GIVE and RECEIVE what we all do & what we all make.
The more we bring it, the better it gets.
Sick of the consumerist jingle bells but secretly love the holidays? Wrappings gifts, twinkling lights, the streets of New York actually smelling like trees….
Light in the pockets making you heavy in the heart? Don’t despair!
Five years ago, Holes in the Wall Collective had one of our most enduring events- a holiday party where no money was exchanged but everyone left with more then they came with. Over 100 Businesses, artists, 9-5ers and everyone in-between gathered and made merry. People still ask us about it and so this year, on our five year anniversary, we’re teaming up with our friends at DecadesOut to bring it back.
Everyone needs a dollar to get by in this city – there’s no denying it. But this is a pause, just for a moment, to celebrate keeping the price tag off of what is priceless: the original spirit of the holidays.
The only price of admission is bringing something you are proud to give. Something for someone else to take home or to enjoy right there.
Come celebrate together by bringing it!
Bring your prints, your pickles, your bitters, your beers.
Your favorite record. A revelatory book of poems.
Have a collection of vintage gloves you’ll never use?
A house plant that transforms a room?
You make cookies that taste like unbridled joy? Bake two dozen.
You’re a hairdresser? Set up a chair.
You read palms? Set up a table.
Don't know what to bring? It doesn't have to be something you make- bring a
bottle of your favorite wine or the most amazing cheese.
Or just give your time and help with getting the word out, set-up and cleanup.
We just challenge you not to bring the crappy leftovers.
Bring the gorgeous centerpiece.
So deck the halls, light the menorah, align your solstice stones... but save your green for the mistletoe and come have a party built totally on exchange and the value metrics of what we give.
Everyone who comes will leave with more than what they brought - goods and true exchanges from everyone who participates.
We can’t wait to Bring It with you.

Come join us for a 15-person samba reggae percussion group Mambembé this Saturday as we gather to help change the climate thru creativity.
Great! But how is a community picnic dance party in the park gonna help us change the climate?
1/ One of the best ways to make a movement is to get moving. And doing it joyously through music helps you keep moving.
2/ We are looking to support the people already doing the work. For this we need your support. And to ask for your support, it's just better with chips & salsa and live music.
3. It takes a village to raise a child and an entire metropolis to get creative enough to raise the issue and change the climate.
